Meet the Experts

Morten Willum, Chief System Engineer

Morten has over 37 years’ experience as an engineer, working on gas engines, marine engines and generators to name just a few.

 

Having worked with Den-tor to develop the first separation system Morten has also worked on various water treatments, waste and recycling projects.

 

Morten is currently working on some very innovative ideas that are likely to result in break-through technology for the AD industry.

 

Chris Hawkins, Managing Director

Chris’s farming background, attention to detail and passion for process and civil engineering gives him a leading edge in the AD sector where operational efficiency and build quality are the keys to success. 

 

Chris started in renewables in 2002 with WH While Plc which designs, builds and operates waste recycling and landfill gas installations. 

 

With eight years’ experience at board level, Chris also possesses extensive knowledge in project managing and achieving financial close with high value projects like AD.

Rachel Hooper, Director

Rachel has 14 years’ experience in finance and financial management, having worked as a Management Accountant of 18 depots for a major UK facilities management. 

 

Rachel handles a wide variety of tasks including HR, head and site office management, marketing and key account management.







Alex Jackson, Site Manager

Alex has worked in the construction sector for over 35 years, gaining a wealth of experience in different areas, starting in utilities, working on Water infrastructure projects, gas, telecom and latterly in HV networks. 

 

What’s more, Alex has worked on major civils projects, including muck shifting, road and drainage construction and multi utility installations.

 

For the last 10 years, Alex has been working both in construction and operations within the AD sector, working on small to medium size projects as a site manager, mainly carrying out the principal contractor role.

 

 

 



William Crewe-Turrell, Lead Design Engineer

After finishing his Architecture degree at UWE, Bristol and starting a masters course specialising in Building Surveying at Reading University, William wanted to expand his practical experience in renewable design.

This has led William to Amzco where, since November 2022, he has been thoroughly enjoying his experience, learning alongside industry professionals in the design of renewable AD biogas infrastructure.

As a design engineer for AMZCO, William has been collaborating with clients, industry specialists and the team to provide thorough and accurate architectural 3D models in various CAD software. Designing AD biogas facilities across the globe to be used in all manners of the construction process such as detailed building design to large scale planning documents.

Trevor Sillifant, CMIOSH CMILT PIEMA TIFireE Safety & Environmental Adviser​

Trevor joined the team as in-house health and safety advisor in the summer of 2019 and has many years of experience as a Safety/Environmental SME, working in high hazard industries including nuclear, munitions and the petroleum sectors.

 

He is well known and respected across the West Country within the safety fraternity after serving for many years on the Institution of Safety & Health(IOSH) – South West Branch, in various roles, culminating as Branch Chair for the last few years. 

 

He has worked closely with local authorities and blue light responders in the formulation of emergency plans for a number of Top -Tier COMAH industrial sites. 

 

 

Graham Reynolds, Plant Manager

Having grown up on a family farm, Graham has over 20 years of experience in agriculture & agricultural contracting; spending much of his career managing teams of people working on a variety of projects, ranging from agriculture, transport and construction. 

A skilled Anaerobic Digestion Operator, a sector Graham finds fascinating, he joins the AMZCO team as Operations/Plant Manager where he will make full use of his prior skills, experience and knowledge.

Josh Mold, Design Engineer

After finishing a degree at the University of Plymouth in Marine Engineering, Josh went on to achieve a MSc in Renewable Energy Engineering from University of Aberdeen.

With experience in water treatment. waste and commercial water sector, Josh joined the AMZCO Construction team in November of 2022 as an Engineer and Designer for renewable energy projects around the globe; working with our clients to create effective and safe solutions.
