Meet the team: Josh, Process Engineer at AMZCO Construction

Josh, Process Engineer at AMZCO Construction

Our Process Designer Josh has 2 years of experience within the wastewater industry following University where he worked on new technology projects for major utilities within the UK and Ireland; joining the team at AMZCO Construction in November 2022.

At AMZCO Construction, Josh has taken on the role of Process Engineer where he’s responsible for and in charge of all pipework systems and associated tasks, Structural calculations and DSEAR reports. In addition to this, Josh leads on project specs and ensures we deliver a cost effective project to our clients. 

A typical day for our Process Engineer

A typical day for Josh consists of catching up with emails and checking the Design & Engineering task board to identify any new priorities, followed by designing and calculating pipework & equipment locations for optimum efficiency and safety. Often, then, Josh will jump on calls with prospective clients or existing clients, as well as liaise with suppliers for part models, data sheets or training guides to further and deepen his understanding.

Simply seeing the designs come to life.

The most challenging part of the job is… 

For Josh, the most challenging part of his job tends to be navigating complex design challenges while ensuring safety and adherence to safety standards, alongside managing competing priorities, tight deadlines, and client expectations while maintaining high-quality standards.
