A unique gas from grass anaerobic digestion plant

The AMZCO Construction team are proud to be part of an exciting and unique renewable energy project at a site near Reading, Berkshire; main contractors on Ecotricity’s first vegan anaerobic digestion plant.

Supplying green energy to Britain’s homes

Britain’s greenest energy company, Ecotricity supplies 100% renewable energy to homes across Britain; their first vegan AD plant will produce energy from grass, whole crop, maize and grain, as opposed to animal byproducts such as cow or pig manure, to supply to homes via the national grid.

Main and principal contractors

As main and principal contractors, AMZCO Construction have been responsible for the construction of this unique AD plant – such as installing the gas flare, tanks and, possibly the most instantly recognisable element of any anaerobic digestion plant, the domes.

This highly anticipated anaerobic digestion plant is soon to be completed and anticipated to supply green energy to 4000 homes, starting early 2023.
